Jones and the Bug Brothers

Desolation Jones: Made in England (Wildstorm)

A Warren Ellis product, illustrated by Promethea's J.H. Williams III. The art is good and it uses unconventionsal panel layout. The story is well paced, with a plot that is a little over the top. Great ending.

The Exterminators: Bug Brothers (Vertigo)

A dark and humorous comic centered on a pest extermination business. Has its moments of action, suspense and horror. Written by Simon Oliver, who wrote the script initially for a TV series, reading this comic does feel like watching a good TV series.

The Tragical Comedy or Comical Tragedy of Mr Punch

by Neil Gaiman and Dave Mckean

This graphic novel is about memories, like Silent Cases. Unlike Silent Cases, this one is darker. Needless to say, the artwork is splendid, being from Mckean.

Also finished reading:

Superman: Birthright

Origin story. Wonderful art. The story is good, but I do not really like the characterisation of a few characters, nor the poignant ending.

Fantastic Four: First Family (Marvel Comics)

Detailed art.

This is one of Joe Casey's origins mini-series. It depicts the trials and tribulations of the famed Four, as they establish themselves.

Good stuff.

NEW FRONTIER, FUN HOME!

New Frontier by Darwyne Cooke

Finally read it! And it was the Absolute Edition too. This is Cooke's current masterpiece. People who love "mature" comics might be turned off by the art, which is cartoony, but very well done.

Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic by Alison Bechdel

I liked this memoir. It alludes to literary works, using them as analogies to the philosophical significance of the lives of the cartoonist and her family.

Garage Band by Gipi

Beautiful artwork.

The length of the comic however, is short. More like a graphic novella. There is drama, there is characterisation. A good read, but too short

Notes for a War Story is better.
